VISITING DOUBLE OAK
Double Oak welcomes you to taste, tour & picnic!
Double Oak Tasting Room is open Saturdays, 11-5, February through December,
and also by appointment January through December.
We welcome your visits for complementary wine tasting and sales, picnicking and tours. Be in touch with the process of winemaking; come and be close to where it happens. You will be able to see how grapes go from the vineyard, to the barrel, and to the bottle.
Bring your friends with you for a friendly outing at our family farm and artisan winery. Taste wine in the tasting room overlooking a native woodland of oaks, madrones and pines. Enjoy the serenity at Double Oak. Enjoy paintings by local artists: watercolors and oils by Jacquie Bellon and Jennifer Crosby; prints by Liz Collins. Picnic on the tasting room patio or in the shade of the grandfather oak, amidst trees and flowers and the lovely quiet ambiance of our rural setting, while you sip wine and eat your picnic meal. Tour the winery and vineyards. Buy wine that has been cellared in the best way, in the climate controlled Double Oak Winery. Groups are easily accommodated.
Driving to our beautiful Sierra ridge top is a pleasure in itself. We are located 15 miles north of Nevada City, a country drive winding through a beautiful, unfiltered landscape of woodlands, forest and river. As winemaker Bob describes it, "One of the last open roads left in California."
